Author of the Amalion publication Le Choix de l’Ori, Louis Camara, was interviewed by Mbagnick K. Diagne, journalist at Senegalese newspaper Le Soleil, to talk about his book. Topics ranged from Camara’s choice of publishers, the Yoruba culture and his wishes for artistic creativity in the future.

When asked about why he chose Amalion to publish his book, he said ‘[…] j’étais à la recherche d’un éditeur qui puisse donner au « Choix de l’Ori » la forme qui lui conviendrait le mieux, un livre qui répondrait à la fois aux normes de l’édition et à mes propres exigences esthétiques car pour moi, cet objet que l’on appelle le livre peut aussi être une véritable œuvre d’art’ (I was searching for an editor that could give Choix de l’Ori the most fitting form, a book that was made to an editorial standard as well as a book that satisfied my personal aesthetic preferences. For me, this object we call a book can also be a veritable piece of [visual] art).
